The Arditti Center is pleased to announce the launch of the Risk Management Leadership Program—a two-day executive course in the heart of downtown Chicago that provides advanced risk management leadership skills to high-level executives and board members.

Developing and maintaining superior performance in corporate risk management, which is both effective in taking high-stakes decisions and fail-safe in times of stress, requires executive leadership.

This interactive program focuses on the critical areas of risk management infrastructure, strategy, and decision-making. Designed and taught by industry and academic experts Steve Lindo and Dr. Mark Frigo, the program provides senior leaders with greater understanding of, and essential skills in, risk management leadership practices that have been field-tested across multiple industry sectors.

Hosted at the DePaul Center in the heart of downtown Chicago (1 E Jackson Blvd), the Arditti Risk Management Leadership program spans a weekend (June 13th and 14th) of interactive case studies, including luncheons and a dinner with keynote speakers in the risk management field.

Target Audience

Non-executive Board Directors, CEOs, CFOs, COOs, Managing Directors, Corporate Treasures, Executive Vice Presidents, Heads of Internal Audit, and Public Pension Fund Trustees

Learning Objectives
  1. Understand the strategies which senior leaders of large and/or complex public or private organizations need to employ, and the infrastructure necessary to support them, in order to ensure effective risk management of high-stakes business decisions and a self-sustaining, firm-wide risk management culture.
  2. Recognize how superior risk management leadership is key to sustained profitability, and how your organization may be negatively impacted if the necessary strategies and infrastructure are lacking.

From the Classroom to the Trading Floor

There is no single, clearly defined education path for entering the derivatives industry as professionals come from a range of academic backgrounds. Still, higher education plays a crucial role in preparing students for success in this complex and fast-evolving field. A strong foundation in finance, economics, and mathematics is essential. At the undergraduate level, students should prioritize courses in financial markets and institutions, investment analysis, corporate finance, and introductory derivatives. Just as important are courses in statistics and calculus, which help build the analytical and quantitative skills required for understanding pricing models, volatility, and risk management strategies. With the increasing reliance on algorithmic trading and quantitative research, a concentration or minor in applied mathematics, data science, or computer programming can...
