The NIBA announces the appointment of three Board Members effective May 15, 2011.

Rodney Dow

Rodney Dow | President, The Dow Corporation, IIB located in Garrison, NY.

Prior to founding The Dow Corp. in 1995, Mr. Dow established an FCM for CitiBank, the first of its kind to trade exclusively energy futures and options. He was a member of NYMEX for 14 years, and currently consults for energy markets, is a registered CTA in addition to the IIB registration and serves as a public member on the business conduct committee for the CME Group. The Dow Corp. has several clearing arrangements and has been an NIBA member since 2000.

 Marc Nagel

Marc Nagel | COO, Dorman Trading LLC, FCM based in Chicago, IL.

Prior to joining Dorman in 2004, Mr. Nagel, a licensed attorney and CPA, traded futures and options on the CBOT floor as well as trading securities and arbitraging interest rates at CBOT. Mr. Nagel is responsible for all compliance matters and exchange relationships as well as leading the marketing efforts and developing new market initiatives for Dorman. Dorman Trading has been an NIBA member since 2005.

 Steven Silver

Steven Silver | COO, Vision Financial Markets, FCM and B/D based in Stamford, CT.

Prior to joining Vision in 2006, Mr. Silver was the Vice President of Goldman Sachs in the firm’s Private Wealth Management Group in London and New york. He began his Wall Street career with a small CTA based in Greenwich, CT before working in the Global Assets Divison of Bankers Trust, and serving as a 1st Vice President of Prudential Securities. Vision is a founding FCM member of the NIBA.

Messrs. Dow, Nagel and Silver have joined the NIBA Board of Directors upon appointment. Mr. Dow will sit for member-election in November, 2012. Mr. Nagel’s and Mr. Silver’s appointments extend to November, 2012 as well.
