DePaul University's Arditti Center for Risk Management hosts its 8th Annual Cyber Risk Conference on Tuesday, November 30th. The early bird discount ends on November 22nd. Congratulations to the NIBA on its 30th Anniversary! It is a true testament to the excellent leadership and members to remain relevant and have such a positive impact on the futures industry over such a long period of time. It is no small feat that the NIBA has been able to grow its membership base for three decades. Without a doubt, Melinda Schramm deserves much of the credit for this accomplishment. Melinda reached out to me when I was a newcomer in the industry and has always been kind and generous with her time, relationships, and selfless guidance. Tradovate Celebrates NIBA's 30th Anniversary

For over 25 years I have watched the industry evolve and expand. New products and contracts routinely dot the landscape while firms morph and transform, adapting to this ever changing business. The tools and technology we use were barely imaginable when I started running orders at the CBOT in the 90s yet we continue to learn and build making this an incredible journey for all of us. But through this change there has been one constant; Melinda Schramm and NIBA have been there every step of the way. As a research practitioner with over 30 years of experience in the capital markets, I’ve found NIBA has offered excellent opportunities for networking and to learn more about various issues facing the industry. This has been very valuable for my research / consulting business. As a researcher and academic I’m honored to be invited to organize and/ or present at various NIBA events. Over the years I’ve been a proud member of the NIBA Board of Directors and on the Advisory Board. As an organization dedicated to the evolving needs of introducing brokers and other market participants, NIBA has not only continued to provide market participants with helpful resources to navigate an extraordinarily complex industry, but has stood ready to advocate the interests of its membership before the NFA, CFTC and Congress. While many have contributed to NIBA’s many accomplishments over the past 30 years, no person deserves more credit than Melinda Schramm, who has been the guiding force of NIBA since the day of its founding.
